North Dakota sets all time highs in August
KUMV-TV

North Dakota set three new all-time highs in August in the oil fields.

Oil production reached 1,291,496 barrels per day, natural gas production was also up, and there were more than 15,000 producing wells.
A new natural gas processing plant came online Friday near Watford City. Officials say it can process 200 million cubic feet per day. Another plant was scheduled to open in November, but is now delayed.
"The information we got is that they were only able to get about 40% of the pipe fitters and welders that they needed to put that plant together, and get it up and running on time so it's going to be six months behind," said Lynn Helms, Department of Mineral Resources director.
The state's gas capture requirement is set to increase to 88 percent on Nov. 1.

The Buzz

My fiancé and I bought 5.2 acres here and have built a house…our business is doing well. We can't imagine leaving our friends we've made here. It's one of the most welcoming communities I've ever moved to.
