County oil production projections

According to a presentation made by Department of Mineral Resources Director Lynn Helms, McKenzie County's oil production is projected to rise from its current production around 16 million barrels a month to between 18-20 million barrels a month by 2022. Further, statewide production is projected to hit 2 million barrels a day by 2040, while at the same time the number of statewide producing wells are expected to increase from 15,942 to 65,000. The presentation was made at the Western Dakota Energy Association annual meeting.
