North Dakota was featured Thursday morning (8/9/2007)on the Today Show's "America the Beautiful" series. "Amber Waves of Grain: Discover America's Farms," highlighting North Dakota's scenic and bountiful wheat fields, was selected as the series' sixth special location. The on location filming took place in Stark County near Dickinson, ND. (just south and east of McKenzie County) Stark County and McKenzie County are similar in agriculture production and topography. It is a great tribute to scenic value, a special way of life and to North Dakota to be recognized as part of the "America the Beautiful" series!
